Price


This week theme is the television set price. I’m going to talk about this theme.




About the price fluctuation of a liquid crystal television set.

 


The sluggish sales of the liquid crystal television continue from “Perfect shift to ground digital broadcasting” (except for northeast 3 prefectures) in July, 2011. In 2012, a household appliance is deflation and the price of liquid crystal televisions fell. The price decline of main home electronics, such as a liquid crystal television, accelerates, and the Japanese home electronics maker is having a hard-fight.


Although consumers can buy a highly efficient new product at a low price, the situation where a home electronics maker and the store cannot take out more profits continues. According to the date in which Nikkei investigated the sales trend of 2300-company home electronics retailers across the country, the price of the household appliance model sold in the spring of 2012 fell 50 percent for the first time in half a year. And compared with five-year before, fall speed became quick from 10 to 30 percent. Thus, the reason the prices of home electronics, such as a liquid crystal television price is a technical development speed is early and the cheap and innovative product is sold for a short period of time.


The Japanese home electronics maker coped by the method of correcting the target of the volume of liquid crystal sales. It is also because the depression of the latest Japan continues and the real dealings price is low. The staffs of Yamada Denki said, “Consumers are familiar with household appliance deflation”, and it said, “There is a tendency to purchase after a price decline from a new product.”


The price of a liquid crystal television has had big influence on an affiliated manufacturer’s profit. Like the digital camera was pushed on the smart phone, the existing home electronics, such as a liquid crystal television and an audio instrument, must be pushed on a new product. Liquid crystal television makers, such as Panasonic, TOSHIBA, SHARP, and SONY, are coping with it by the method of correcting the target of the volume of liquid crystal television sales, in order to minimize the influence of a liquid crystal television price decline. For example, SONY reexamined the program for the year of the volume of television sales which will contain a liquid crystal television in August, 2012. And from the previous year, the program for the year of the volume of television sales was 21 percent decrease carried out, and was made into 15,500,000 sets. 2 million of these are less than the plan that beginning of the year.

This time, I investigated the price of the television, especially the price of the liquid crystal television, and felt the deflation of home electronics. We go to an electrical appliance shop, if it has 50,000 yen, we can buy good performance television in these days. I would like to buy it, after becoming cheap rather than I buy a new product. Moreover, I thought that progress of the latest technology was quick.
