The theme of this week is influence to society. Especially, I am going to talk about the influence to children.

While a child’s atrocious crime happens one after another, the interest how many influences television has had on a child’s action is high. About the television game having had various influences on a child, various indications from the usefulness to a bad influence is carried out. Until now, research has been done about the influence from broad viewpoints of psychology, sociology, physiology, etc. A possibility whether a television game would have a bad influence on a child’s development was often pointed out from before as a problems of a television game. Teleconference

Teleconference is to connect two or more remote places by interactive telecommunication technology, and hold the meeting with a bidirectional picture and sound. It is also a kind of groupware. The advantage of a teleconference is that travel time and cost can be held down. It is not necessary to prepare the place of a meeting and to go to a conference hall place. It is only to connecting to television. Moreover, unlike an ordinary telephone, since the teleconference can see a mutual face and speak, it can aim at deep communication. However, there are a little problems here. It is known that eye contact is important in conversation. Although a partner’s face cannot be seen by ordinary telephone, since a face can be seen, the wrong impression may be given at a teleconference. It is a kind of the computer game adapting electronic technology.
